Uber, which had been spurned by Grubhub, is now marrying Postmates.

What do you make of that acquisition?

Well, just coming off the long weekend, at least here in the US anyway,

Uber has agreed to buy Postmates, and you're right, this is just a couple of weeks

after Uber's proposed acquisition of Grub Hub

fell through. We, I think we talked about it in another episode of the podcast but

just eat takeaway.com a European company ended up buying grub Hub last month just a few weeks ago and so it sounds like

Uber has been very much so aggressive in seeking out another partner for meal delivery.

Obviously Postmates has been somewhat of an early pioneer

in delivery as a service. And so Uber has said that Postmates will

complement its own delivery aspirations here. So interesting news, I believe that came out late last Monday and so we'll see what else is to come in terms of ride hailing, ride sharing, and these delivery services,

particularly food delivery in the future.

I mean, I'm curious if Lyft decides to look into any similar

deal but obviously we've heard that Uber has been struggling,
