In this episode, Jim Canfield talks about his journey as an executive coach and President of CEO Tools. Jim began his career as an account executive, providing investment advisory with Calibre Financial Group. From here Jim began his career in the coaching industry in 1994 with TEC Worldwide (where he was a Chair for 9 years) and several more years as an executive. Jim fulfilled many roles years with TEC including Chief Learning Officer, and Vice President of West Coast Operations. In 2006 Jim became CEO of Renaissance Executive Forums, “one of the world’s leading membership organizations for business owners”; where he worked for 10 years. In 2017 Jim became President of CEO tools where he is an author, speaker, and coach for CEOs of small-to-medium-sized organizations. Jim is an impactful speaker and was awarded the 2018, Speaker of the Year, from TEC Canada, and International Speaker of the Year for Vistage UK in 2019, and in 2020 Vistage Worldwide Speaker of the Year.

In 1994, he became a chair with tech worldwide, something at the time they called a chairman.

He worked in that role for approximately nine years where then he transitioned into other

He left the organization in approximately 2006 where it became the CEO of Renaissance

executive forums, another membership organization that provides supports to business owners,

and he worked there for some 10 years.

Now, during this time period, there was an event that occurred in 2013, a very famous speaker

in the Vistage Network, 70 Damn Craig Kramer, somebody I knew personally and some of the others

found to be valuable. He passed away and when he passed away, he left a huge hole.

He was president of a company called CEO Tools. He had written a book about CEO Tools

and many came to understand his traveling 12 month average,

traveling three month average, and many dashboards.

So in 2017, Jim came the president of CEO Tools.
