The phrase we are supposed to employ at this sort of period in history

is that chaos is very good for business.

Your friend of mine, Theo Usherwood, pointed it out to me

as I bounced into the office this morning,

replete with even more joie de vivre and bushy tail than usual.

It's good for business.

And I guess it is if you're in this business, but it's not good for any other businesses, is it?

I don't think.

I thought that the circular firing squad, which the Conservative Party has been on an almost inevitable course for since June of 2016, would at least be amusing or diverting or possibly delivering a degree of schadenfreude.

But it's not. Politicians with, about whom I've rarely had a nice word to say will be

queuing up to resign because the prime minister is a politician about whom they haven't got a nice

foreign secretary was Boris Johnson. and now that Boris Johnson is set
