Are you too sensitive? I wanted to call this episode the thing that happened at the yoga studio,

but then I thought, look, let's just cut straight to it. Are you being too sensitive?

Because this is a topic that comes a lot and I can tell you and my friends text me

and I get that ding on my phone. A lot of the time they want to talk out

something and we'll come back to this question.

And it's really interesting because sensitivity is a superpower.

If you're empathetic, if you're tuned into the needs, the emotions, the feelings of others, that is a wonderful gift.

And I love to believe that I'm tuned in to the emotions of others and that I'm generous and that I can connect and give other people what they need if they need something

But that's not what we're talking about here. We're talking about the unnecessary

Suffering that's going on within your own mind a lot of the time when you're

telling yourself a story so scary that you should probably move to Hollywood and

create movies because you're so good at telling nightmare stories.

How's that for an image?

So I want to tell you a quick story about something that happened to me a few years ago

that I've always remembered, and I tell this story I've written

about it because it's short and when you hear it you'll understand maybe even identify with it a little bit.

Here's simply what happened.

When I was living in New York, there was a yoga studio in the Upper West Side that I love to frequent.

And there was a friend that I kind of made there.
