| 0:43.3 | This is when schedules get a little crazy. |
| 0:47.3 | We start feeling things either good or bad. |
| 0:52.3 | And it's when if you're going to push pause or drift away from your |
| 0:58.2 | fitness pursuit, this is when it typically will happen. There's a danger, not because you're going to lose |
| 1:07.0 | everything that you've worked towards. Although, if you push pause long enough, that is a |
| 1:15.1 | possibility. I've seen research indicating, now this is for runners, but I think there's a |
| 1:20.5 | principle here, that runners can lose their fitness, their aerobic capacity if they stop running for 72 days. |
| 1:31.3 | So if you stop pursuing fitness for a few days, even a week or two, you're not going to |
| 1:37.0 | lose everything. |
| 1:38.2 | Maybe after a couple of weeks, you might start to lose some of your fitness capacity. |
| 1:43.9 | The danger really isn't in pushing pause for a few days that you lose everything. |
| 1:49.2 | That's not the danger. |
| 1:51.0 | The danger is when that pause starts to extend, restarting is hard. |
| 2:10.0 | So we're entering a season where it's tempting to push pause. And I believe one of the reasons it's really tempting is because January 1st is right up ahead. And it's easy to convince ourselves, you know, life right now is just crazy. |
