I am recording this fresh off of my incredible live media event pitch please in New York City.

I'm back in Miami now. Thrilled to be back here, recording for you. And this idea just struck me as a must do, like a must do episode, especially really

being inspired by all of the cool speakers that we had and the

attendees who I got to meet. It's so interesting how those of us who tend to get

what we want even if it seems unrealistic or unreasonable,

those of us who get to be do and have what we want, it has nothing to do with our core competence. It has nothing actually to even do

with the quality of our work or our years of experience or whatever it is it's actually

inside of us. The differentiator is the willingness to go as I say

further into the water. Right so you know when you're in the ocean, I always like to have my feet kind of on the

sand, right? Even if I'm swimming, I like to know that there's sand beneath me, so I'm safe, right? But if I take that kind of literal image and make it more figurative, I always

think to myself, when you go further into the water, that's where the magic is.

That is where the magic is.

When my feet are touching the ground, I might be safe,

but there's no progress there. I think about it even if you look at pro-surfers,

they constantly seek out bigger, more dangerous, scary-looking waves. That's because they're pros.

Right, it's those waves, it's going out further into the water that allows them to expand, to become more of who they really are.

And at this life event, I can almost tell by questions that are being asked and

conversations that are being had who's willing to go further into the water

who's willing to pitch their big idea, who's willing to go for a bigger

audience, who's willing to make more of an impact.

Right?
