One thing I've noticed my friend, after being a life coach now and being such a self-help, junkie,

0:18.0

is that I've come to understand that human beings dislike and shy away from and get defensive around anything that threatens

0:29.5

their sense of self, right? their identity that has been crafted within their mind.

0:37.6

So I am this type of person, I'm that type of person.

0:40.8

This is what I have, this is what I am. This is who I am. I am spicy. I'm someone who just gets it right. I'm a perfectionist. I'm someone who's really punctual. I'm just throwing some random stuff out here

1:41.2

old, maybe they're outdated, maybe they're

1:42.7

they're outdated maybe they were true once but they're not so true anymore maybe in

1:49.4

fact there's nothing to defend and we're we're clinging on to something we're clinging on to some

1:54.8

shadow or some identity that makes us feel safe because it's familiar but but inside, we just, we know that it no longer fits.

2:08.7

So what are those things?

2:11.0

What are those identities that we can release? I think about it this way. Anything at all that

2:19.5

keeps you from expanding, that keeps you from

2:23.0

stretching.
