Thank you for joining us. So are you cut out for leadership? This is a several hundred

thousand dollar question. How do you like that for a setup? As people have misused the

million dollar question, I hate what people use it. I've gotten to get a little bit irritated by it.

But I can honestly say that this is the several hundred thousand dollar question. I'll explain more

momentarily. Are you cut out for leadership? Because there is a growing problem

due to the nature of the way we work in this country. This has been going on for quite some time.

Decades and decades and decades old. And yet I just don't think we talk about it. Oops,

look at that. I just got so excited to hit the mic. It's very exciting. But we don't talk about this

in the halls of leadership and companies. And I'm going to bring this to the forefront.

There is a cultural practice by which we promote people in the leadership

because we don't really know how or how else to promote them. That's the takeaway.

You're doing a good job, Fred. You've been selling this

Chachki for this long and you're hitting all your numbers and we see it. We value you.

You're asking for promotion. We feel like we've got to give you a promotion. You're very

valuable to us. And we want to keep you around. So we're going to promote you. So we're going to

put you in charge of the team that's selling the Chachkis. And what does Fred do?

No matter what Fred feels about leading, he automatically feels pressure to say yes. Why?
