What does it mean to be a true follower of Jesus Christ?

What does that mean?

In our journey with Jesus, we have come to the end of Mark chapter 8.

And the Lord has just begun to teach his disciples about his own crucifixion

and the suffering he must endure.

And then the resurrection.

And the Bible says in verse 32, and he spake that saying openly.

And Peter took him and began to rebuke him.

But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying,

Get thee behind me, Satan.

For thou savorest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

Oh, my friends, there's a lot of truth wrapped up in these words.

Notice, Peter's rebuking the Lord, and the Lord turns around

rebukes Peter. May I tell you that Christ always knows better than we do? If you're trying to

argue with God about something right now, just stop your arguing. Listen to what he has to say.

The Bible says that Jesus says to him, get thee behind me, Satan. Did you know that even good people,

even God's people, can become a mouthpiece for the enemy? The accuser of the brethren will speak

through anybody. He'll channel through any serpent he can find, just like he did in the Garden of
