I would love to have a philosophical debate about expectations.

I know I'm asking a lot of us in this room when I throw the word philosophical out, but that's

what I'm looking for.

And expectations.

Yeah, there's that too. So that's not the jury.

Because for the longest time, I have believed,

and I've had conversations with my therapist

about this over the years,

with my significant other, my husband and it's that you can't have expectations because if you have

expectations you are ultimately going to get let down and you're going to live a very

sad existence in relationships or every no it okay none at all like just in flow like the river. Yes, in everything if you have an

expectation it's it's more than likely not going to get met and you're just going to live a life of

perpetual disappointment.

And that sounds pretty like that sounds like a bomber, right?

Yeah.

So I've always abided by that, like expectations. I have high high expectations I think I should have expectations of myself and I want other people to have their own self expectations but as far as like having expectations for people in my life

People come from different backgrounds, they have different experiences, they are not going to find value in the things that you

find value in, they're not going to, their priority list is not going to mesh with

yours, therefore their expectations are going to be different. That I
