Hello and welcome back to Soteryology 101. So this young man is named Ferris. I like Ferris. I enjoy watching his videos, even though I disagree with him, obviously, on theological points because he's a Catholic.

I know he would consider me a brother.

I love my Catholic friends.

I don't believe that what they believe is correct, obviously.

All right, so that was our friend Layton Flowers.

We are both fellow Christians, but we have a disagreement. You see, because if you go to the Bible, it says that Jesus said,

truly, truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood,

you have no life in you.

Now both Layton and I agree, that's what the verse says.

But what this verse doesn't tell us is what this eat and drink means. When I see this eat and drink here, I think that means literally

and physically eat and drink. But when Layton sees that eat and drink, he thinks, no, no,

that doesn't mean literally at all. It is not literal and physical eating and drinking. So who's got

this right? Is it side A or is it side B? That's what we're doing. Okay, welcome back. This is part

two of my response to Ferris with How to be a Christian, talking about John Chapter 6. As I said before, I will say again, I know this is not our normal topic that we discuss here. As I said, we created this page to address the issue that I studied in my dissertation with regard to my history of leaving Calvinism.

But I, just as a favor to Ferris and to those who are interested in this topic, I have diverged

to talk about this particular issue on John Chapter 6, which came really out after the debate with James

White and drawn by Jesus and talking about our contention with Calvinists with regard

to how they read John chapter 6. And then following that, Ferris jumps in from the Catholic side

saying, hey, I really think both of you guys are wrong and it's really about this. And so that's why

we're getting into this. I appreciate for the most part his cordiality and the things in which

he said in the video. I don't really like being pitt up against, especially friends,

and those kinds of things like, hey, be more like Layton.
