Hello, and welcome to another edition of the Byron York Show, the No-Chit-Chit podcast.

We'd like to get right into it, and today what we're going to get into is the question,

are Democrats doomed?

I thought about saying our Democrats toast, and they was kind of a long debate over whether

to say doomed or toast, but toast seemed kind of old, so doomed it was.

Our Democrats doomed.

Now in the last few days, there's been some buzz among Democrats.

Maybe you've noticed it, maybe not, that maybe after all the talk about being headed toward

defeat in this year's midterm elections, they might not be in such bad shape after all.

Now, there are four reasons being bandied about for this.

The first one, redistricting has gone better than expected in some important states.

Now, you may not follow redistricting very closely, you may find it really, really boring.

It is important, and it has gone better than a lot of Democrats predicted.

So that's one reason redistricting has gone better.

Two, job creation has been robust, and it really has.

The numbers in January, 467,000 new jobs was quite good, and there was a significant upward

revision of the earlier estimates for December and for November.

For example, in December, the original estimate was for 199,000 new jobs,

and the upward revision was for 510,000 new jobs.

So that's a significant upward revision.

So second reason job creation has been robust.

Three, COVID cases are falling, and that's true.
