Abby is calling BS, BS on TikTok, at least one TikTok curve.

Yeah, so I interviewed this guy named Mackin Murphy a while back from my podcast.

He's a genetic scientist.

He went to like Oxford or something.

He's a super smart dude, and he has these really intelligent takes on dating and relationships.

And normally, every time I see him pop up on my TikTok feed, I'm like, this guy spits

facts.

Until yesterday, I was scrolling on my 4U page, and he said something that I think

is going to be kind of controversial, because I think most women will feel differently.

But he posted about how women usually complain about how they believe, and this is, I'm saying

women, and when I say women, I mean me, men are typically threatened by successful women.

Here's what he had to say about that.

There's a very common stereotype that men are intimidated by successful women.

These generally show that men are less attracted to status and resources in mates than women,

but that's not the same as saying that they're repellent buying.

Preference studies and behavioral studies usually show this coming out as either a neutral

or a positive for a woman's mating success, and if you just want to look at outcomes

in aggregate, like big picture, more educated women are less likely to be single than less

educated women.

So it doesn't really seem to be the case that women are succeeding themselves out of the

mating market.
