Good morning. It is three minutes after ten, and you are listening to James O'Brien on LBC where there's quite a lot to get through today.

There's a story. It's been bubbling around for a couple of days.

Do I ever open the show by saying there's not a lot to get through today?

I must do must. And I've just realised I'm possibly in the danger of falling into a bit of a cliche ditch.

Oh, there's quite a lot to get through today. Have I ever started a show by saying, but short stories today, lads? Not quite sure what we're going to do. There were days like that

in my lifetime. I sort of going back pre, probably pre-financial crisis or pre-2010, maybe even

a little more recently than that, we'd struggle. You could probably tell if you were listening.

Some days we would actually struggle to come up with things to talk about. That has not been a problem for quite a long time.

And I haven't even mentioned the B word yet, although that may pop up a little later in the

program, because that oil tanker, it seems to be turning around quicker than ever, and I hate to

break it to you, but there ain't anything we can do about it. Even if the entire country were to realize the absolute idiocy of that decision to impose economic sanctions on ourselves and abolish our own freedom of movement,

even if, or rather when the entire country actually clocks it, there's nothing we can do.

Anyway, I digress.

It's quite a lot to get through today,

including a story that's been bubbling away

for a couple of days

that has really got under my skin.

I normally, if I spend a couple of days

pondering or dwelling on something,

I normally make a little bit more sense of it

at the end of the process
