Our guest at our round table earlier this month was Mark Edward Lender, who worked with James Kirby Martin to publish the book, War Without Mercy. The book seeks to dispel the idea that the

American Revolutionary War was a war of gentlemen, fought under traditional rules of the time. Instead, they show that it was a brutal civil war

where neighbors went to war against neighbors

in an all-out fight for survival.

Lender met with our Roundtable group via Zoom.
