Hey guys, it's Rachel and this is a quick word on which goal to pursue first.

Okay, so back in the day when I designed our start today journal, I was trying to figure

out how to help people do a daily practice that I had been doing in a notebook for years.

And it wasn't enough for me to just have the gratitude practice, which is there.

And the goals that you're working on, also there.

But I needed a way to help people narrow down what to focus on.

Because if your dream are like me, that means you can come up with 50 dreams, right?

You're like, I'm going to write a book, I'm going to start a podcast, I'm going to become

best friends with Oprah, I'm going to open for Beyonce, I'm going to start a nonprofit,

I'm going to get a weeny dog, right?

Like you could just keep coming up with ideas.

And all of them are exciting and it would be so amazing if we had the ability to pursue

50 things at once.

But if you actually want to make traction against a goal and if you actually want success,

the key is to put all your energy into one thing.

So how on earth do we figure out which of the goals makes the most sense?

Okay, years ago I read this book that I highly recommend called The One Thing by Gary

Keller.

And the whole book is basically that.

How do you figure out the one thing that matters most?

And essentially the idea is this, if you gather all your ideas together, all your goals,

all your dreams and you look at them all, Gary asks, what is the one goal on this list
