Summary

Britain's most popular destination to escape to, Spain has dropped restrictions around vaccinations and tourists from Britain as the great reopening gathers pace. It follows France, which has updated its terms and conditions for British travellers and is a welcome boost for Easter holidays. That is, of course, if you manage to get on a plane. While our most popular destinations open up, a host of airlines including British Airways are struggling to find crew for flights and operations meaning cancellations across the board. I give you the lowdown.

because as from right now you are able to get into the nation, which of course is our favourite for overseas holidays, and you won't need to have any special permission.

Just a lateral flow test taken within the 24 hours of departure. This has come actually just a week after France did pretty much the same.

will say, well, let's go to Spain now because we can get in relatively easily with a cheap

1:20.4

lateral flow test, even for unvaccinated people. Other countries are being more demanding

1:26.7

in tests in terms of what they want.

1:29.3

But of course there are some countries which have done the same as the UK, which is to say,

1:34.8

right, you're all welcome.

1:36.4

No need to have any tests, any jabs.

1:39.6

We're living with COVID.

1:41.4

And so let's just get on with it.

1:43.9

So just to be clear on Spain, they have had some really complicated and onerous rules.

1:52.4

And gosh, it's only two months ago since a lot of people, a lot of families,

1:58.2

were looking forward to lovely half-term breaks.

2:02.1

And then they suddenly discovered that Spain said any teenagers or anybody over 12 who hasn't been

2:08.7

vaccinated cannot come in. Now, they changed that policy really quite late in the day. Indeed, halfway through the half-term holiday for an awful

2:21.4

lot of schools, so that was no good at all. And here we are into yet more school holidays. And again,
