Summary

The cost-of-living crisis is forcing many people to cut back on their spending, and holidays tend to be one of the first things to get the chop. However, that dream get-away you've been planning may still be possible, even on a tighter budget than expected. So today I'm rising to the challenge and answering your questions about how to travel around North America without breaking the bank.

Well, every so often, somebody asks me a question which I just think is so intriguing and apozite that i

0:24.8

love to talk to you about what my conclusions are and james has come up with just such a question he says

0:32.9

i'm going to the u.s on a budget this autumn i I don't really mind where, but I'd like some good public transport

1:43.3

public transport free state, I afraid so better to go I'm

1:49.1

going to suggest to the west coast in and pretty much all the way down from Seattle and

1:57.5

indeed Vancouver in Canada if you can sort of count that as an American gateway,

2:05.0

all the way down to San Diego on the Mexican border.

2:08.9

There's generally very good, very inexpensive public transport.

2:13.2

And let's just talk about that.

2:14.7

So in terms of the flight, the sensible thing to do is get an open jaw.

2:19.7

And if you're going in September, best thing to do is finish in San Diego on the Mexican border

2:27.4

because I can guarantee the weather is going to be absolutely joyful.
