0:13.6	Hi friends. I am Annie F Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth. the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.
0:16.6	So here's how this works.
0:17.9	I'm going to read three chapters to you today.
0:19.6	That way we get through all four books in 30 days.
0:22.0	We are really doing it. So I'm going to read
0:24.3	three chapters. You can listen, you can read along in your own Bible, you can watch on
0:27.6	YouTube, and then I'll pray and that's it. So today is day 27. I'll be reading
0:32.1	Matthew, chapters 18 through 20 from the new living translation.

0:46.0	Matthew 18.
0:48.1	About that time the disciples came to Jesus
0:50.4	and asked who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus called a little child
0:55.4	to him and put the child among them. I tell you the truth unless you turn from
0:59.4	your sins and become like little children you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.
1:04.0	So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child
1:06.4	is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
1:08.6	And anyone who welcomes a little child like this
1:10.8	on my behalf is welcoming me. But if you cause one of these
1:14.0	little ones who trust in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a
1:18.1	large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.
1:21.6	What sorrow awaits the world because it tempts people to sin.
1:26.5	Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting?
