You know, it's kind of strange here now that the movie The Da Vinci Code is coming out. More and more people are talking about the Bible, about things that we were led to believe that might be different.

And I know you're a skeptic about a lot of this

david what's what do you think about it all well i wish i was getting the royalties on the bible

a fascinating piece of historical literature gene there's a lot to learn about the last two thousand

years of history but i have a lot of issues with this notion that the Bible is, A, the literal Word of God,

B, historically, absolutely accurate.

It's a book that's gone through so many revisions and so many interpretations

that I really wonder about the validity of a lot of it.

And I think what people forget is that the Bible in many ways is symbolic,

you know, talking about the beginning of the world.

I don't think that's supposed to be taken literally, you know,

the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden

because of biting into the fruit of

of knowledge the tree of knowledge I think that's symbolic of the danger of humans

flirting excessively with technology without having a decent spiritual underpinning

but did this was there a Garden of Eden was there an adam and eve you know i mean that to me is

fringier than anything else we've talked about on the show and this is of course the paracast
