Playbook Daily briefing. The backlash against Georgia's sweeping new voting law is getting loud

and fast. Faith leaders in the state are plotting a boycott next week of some of the state's

biggest businesses, Coca-Cola, Home Depot, Delta, and Biden himself is waiting into the fight.

He's calling on Major League Baseball to move this summer's All-Star game out of Atlanta over the new law.

Yesterday, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp took to Fox News to slam Biden's call.

And things got personal. Kemp pulled out a side-by-side chart comparing voting regulations in Georgia and Biden's home state of Delaware, often without crucial context.

Kemp and other Republicans are defending Georgia's new voting restrictions in the name of election integrity, despite there being no evidence of widespread voter fraud.

And in the wake of the new law,

Biden's pushing Congress to pass election reform ASAP, namely HR1, which would reform ballot access

and campaign finance, as well as the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would restore

struck down provisions of the Voting Rights Act. Keep an eye on how this shapes

Biden's position on the filibuster. He suggested he's open to nixing it for issues like voting rights.
