0:17.0	Hi friends I am Annie F Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus Christ life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles. So here is how this works. I will read three chapters to you today.
0:20.0	That way we can get through all four books in 30 days.
0:23.1	We are more than halfway there.

0:34.7	Today is day 19 and I'll be reading Mark chapters 10 through 12 in the new living
0:40.3	translation and for those of you with the Let's Through the Gospel's
0:43.1	guided journal, we are on page 127.
0:47.0	Mark 10. Then Jesus left Kepurnum and went down to the region of Judea and into the area
0:56.4	east of the Jordan River. Once again, crowds gathered around him and as usual, he was teaching them.
1:02.4	Some Pharisees came and tried to trap him with this
1:04.6	question. Should a man be allowed to divorce his wife? Jesus answered them with a question.
1:10.2	What did Moses say in the law about divorce?
1:13.0	Well, he permitted it, they replied.
1:15.0	He said a man can give his wife a written notice of divorce and send her away.
1:19.0	But Jesus responded,
1:21.0	he wrote this commandment only as a concession to your hard hearts. But God made the
1:25.9	male and female from the beginning of creation. This explains why a man leaves his father and
1:30.7	mother and is joined to his wife and the two are united into one.
