And so if they continue to play overall, like they did during the end of the regular season, and, you know, show the same sort of energy, life, competitiveness, all of it, and then, you know, I'm okay with that. point here so I can reconcile the defeat. But if they get crushed and look like garbage, like

if they look how they have looked against Ottawa and some of these other games, or how they

looked against Tampa the night, they threw, they blew the three one goal leads, then I don't

know how you can stomach that like if

they just revert to what they were before before cassidy took over like that to me doesn't make

you feel good the only i don't know that i would sit i'm sorry i don't i don't mean to say that i would

sit here and call the entire season of failure if they have a bad series because there were some good things that happened. The development of young players was important in them this year. I get all of that. But I don't think they can go out here and lay an egg. To me, the only acceptable defeat, and I don't even want to say that, I mean, the only thing that I would just have to grudgingly accept is if it's a deep

seven-game series with the bounce of a puck deciding it. You know, if they're all two, one, three, two games, as I said earlier, they're all one-goal games. You have two or three of them go to overtime. Puck bounces off a guy's shin pad, and that's how you lose, or it's one goal, one decision, one, you know, then I'm like, okay, the teams are pretty even and you lost on the bounce of a puck.

That's, you know, fine.

I'm not going to lose my mind. But if they suck, if they lose in four or five, or they don't show up, to me, that's not acceptable. It's just not, and the season is not a success. And you don't get points for doing something you should have done the previous two years. Just because they gagged the previous two seasons does not mean they get a gold star or a pin, Murray, because they don't gag this year. You should have been in the playoffs the last three years. The only assessment you can really make on this team right now to me is that they should have fired Claude earlier. That's it. You can't assess what the season is until after this series and how it plays out.

So if they show up and play to their capabilities and lose close, then, you know, okay. Sucks but acceptable. What am I going to do? You know, they're not a great team, and so if that just catches up to them, it catches up to them. But if they don't show up or they play below what they're capable of,

then that's no, and I'm sorry, you do not get credit for just making the players when you should have made it the previous two years. Just because you finally did your job, doesn't mean you get a gold star. That's what you should have done all along. Now, Cassidy deserves a gold star. The last 27 games are pretty snappy. You know, when 18 of 27, that's pretty good. And that's, you know, that's probably above, that is above their capabilities. I mean, even the Italy City wasn't expecting that. So they overachieved in that run. But you want to talk about the whole sample, the whole 82 games? Now. Now. And just because you puked on yourself two years ago and last year it doesn't mean you can now get credit for not puking on yourself this year.
