dress rehearsal before the Apollo 11 mission. He flew a lunar module to within 10 miles of the

lunar surface in May of

68, 69.

He then was the commander for the Apollo Soyuz docking mission

with the Soviet Union the first time

to two countries did a joint mission.

He was a great astronaut.

He lived in 93, he passed away just this week.
