We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other thing,

not because they are easy, but because they are hard. Five, four, three, two, one, zero.

Not because it is easy, but because it is hard. A badly humiliated nation would show the world, but mostly we'd show ourselves the kind of country we were by doing the hardest thing ever attempted.

You know, Kennedy got it all in those first seven words, we choose to go to the moon.

That was the hard part, just deciding that we were going to go.

Everything else was a mere engineering problem.
