Are you a goalmaker? I honestly was not for many years. I just couldn't handle the

disappointment I knew I'd experience when I inevitably felled at all of them. But then in my weird

experiment of choosing progress over perfection, something even stranger

happened. I started making goals again and they actually worked.

This is mostly because they were

relevant to my current season,

meaning what was actually achievable

considering what was happening in my life

and ones that focused more on small

steps rather than big outcomes. This was going really well for quite a few years but

however last year 2023 I started

off strong in making my goals but by February I had completely fallen off the

goal bandwagon I completely forgotten about all my goals. I wasn't

tracking them anymore. Didn't remember my word of the year or anything like unto it.

So this is all to say that as I bring back this habit of goal making in my life, which I really do want and I need again,

I want to do so wisely.

I want to do so in ways that are based in my soul and not all those sneaky shoulds because they have

creeped back in pretty quick.
