Summary

I can't believe this little experiment is 3 years old! Yes, this podcast was kind of an experiment when it first started. I had a message I needed to get out and every day I'm grateful for where that leap of faith has taken me. So much of that is owed to you - the listeners, readers, and sharers of the About Progress community. In full transparency, here is the 2019 State of the Podcast Address. Along with the ups and downs of this past year I have to start by sharing the big lessons I've learned: outcomes don't define us! We all have failures, and successes, but our worth is constant. With that in mind, and in the spirit of record keeping, I'm sharing a brief numbers update, and even let you in on the big number goals I have for next year. I also recap the big launches we had, and the best and hardest parts of growing this year. Some of the 2019 podcast changes (monthly theme, new segments, Dear Progressor episodes, etc.) have been super well received and will be sticking around in to next year. And of course, I'm opening up about changes on the horizon. I'm making changes to achieve my goals for serving you through this podcast, as well as changes for the ways in which you can really participate in your growth. 0:31.0	You know, once a year I've been giving what I've been calling a state of the

0:36.4	And I will do that each month of the year that we have our anniversary, which is November.
0:41.5	So we are celebrating three years, which I'm sure you've heard me say.
0:44.8	And I just want to start by telling you, thank you.
0:47.8	Again, thank you for being here, for listening,
0:50.9	for sharing, for giving me ideas and support and being a part of this community that really is striving for progress over perfection.
0:58.0	I am returning from Utah this week and I was there for my Rediscover You Workshop, my last live event for quite a long time and my first ever party.
1:09.0	And while the numbers didn't get as high as I expected in terms of how many people joined us for either
1:15.8	event and the reason that even matters is just from the logistic point of view I pay for these
1:20.3	things out of pocket and my goal is to not just break even but to make a little
1:24.8	money that makes it worth all the effort and this time was different. I not only did not make any
1:29.8	money I didn't even break even and if you count different levels of expenses and all of that I was far
1:36.4	below the break even point and why I'm telling you that is because it could have been tempting for me and it was tempting for me to make it
1:44.0	mean something about me but I have to tell you that it was an excellent
1:47.8	opportunity to practice what I preach that outcomes cannot define us and we have to keep trying even with those risks
