The Mega Macabre Halloween special.

Welcome to Anything Ghost. My name is Lex Wall. Anything Ghost is a place where people share their personal paranormal experiences, and I share them with you. And we're finally upon that wonderful fall time of year. I hope you have some nice fall weather where you are. We have some nice crisp mornings lately. It's been wonderful. And along with that comes the anything ghost mega macabre Halloween special. This is the 16th one.

So sit back and enjoy the anything ghost mega macabre Halloween special. All right, we're going to kick things off here with the story from Nathan in Utah, the Empress Theater Story.

There's a little town just south of Great Salt Lake in Salt Lake City, Utah, called Magna.

It's a very old town that was built for the copper miners who worked in the

west mountains of Salt Lake Valley. There were homes, a general store, and quite a few bars

for drinking. There was also a theater built as a burlesque hall called the Empress Theater.

The burlesque hall lasted for about 10 to 15 years. After it closed,

it sat for a few years, and then it was converted into a movie theater, which lasted about 20 years,

and when that closed, it turned into pornography theater, but shut down soon afterward.

The theater sat dormant for close to thirty years, when an old man named Leo Ware purchased

the old theater and wanted to turn it back into a theater for the performing arts.
