I'm Brian. I'm on the phone with Oshvin, and today we are talking about anything for Jackson from 2020 directed by Justin

G. Dyke written by Keith Cooper starring Sheila McCarthy, Julian Richings, Constantina Montalos,

and in this movie a grieving couple dabbles in Satanism to try to get back someone who they have

lost. If you're new to the show, we are going to talk a little bit

about the background of this movie. It'll be spoiler-free for the first 15 or 20 minutes, but after

that we will play our little musical transition, and that's when you know we're headed into

spoiler territory. So if you haven't seen this movie yet, you can hang with us until then,

Ashvin, you ever seen a reverse exorcism movie?

No, I wasn't even sure what that was.

What is a reverse exorcism?

I think it's essentially if an exorcism is trying to get a spirit out of somebody, a reverse

exorcism would be trying to get a spirit or soul into somebody.

Oh, interesting.

But in an exorcism, you're usually trying to get like the devil out of somebody, right?

Yeah, yep.

So I guess you could be trying to get the devil into somebody or someone else. It's not always the devil though. Sometimes it's a lesser demon.

Oh yeah, yeah, right, I guess you have different people in there. That's true.

Or even the spirit of somebody who, of a person who once lived, I think even we've seen in some movies.
