Very good morning indeed to you.

And I think we begin inevitably with further contemplation of the

astonishing collapse of Donald Trump's administration in America. And increasingly, of course,

the questions that are being asked about people here who cheered for him. I mean, this is really

tricky. One of the great curses of being a liberal

is that you endeavour to think the best of people.

You always believe in redemption, for example,

or in the importance of allowing people the space and the time

to change their minds.

So I started thinking about this last night,

and I came up with the idea

that there were three categories of people that were not calling out Trump's depravity from

day one, okay, because it's a little bit kind of smug and holier than now to keep patting

ourselves on the back.

Those of us who did call it out from day one, that's just a matter of record now,

a matter of fact.

But people who didn't, I was thinking maybe there's sort of three categories in total of people.

There are the people who saw Trump and saw what he was and called it out.
