Well, as Reyna said, we're beginning a new series

and we're going to talk about money for two reasons.

Number one is because you care about it.

There are a number of studies that say as such, I will not quote them all to you,

but they all say the number one cause of stress for everyone from Gen Z

all the way up to the oldest among us is money.

The American Psychological Association conducted a survey and found that 81% of Gen Z said they are

stressed about finances more than any other topic.

We have anxiety and it's about money.

And I'm going to tell you I've seen that to be true.

It was interesting for me this week.

I talked to a member of our church who is extremely

wealthy and I visited and prayed with a brother in our church who is currently without a job and without a home.

And both of them came to me because they wanted to talk about money.

And actually what they both wanted to talk about was their anxiety about money. And so I want to talk about it even though to be

honest with you as your pastor I have at times avoided this topic. I need to

repent of that. I'll tell you why I avoided it is because I know that there's a lot of mistrust in the world today
