been following your work, and especially in regards to a landmark case that was widely written

up in the media, including in New York, about a finding and linking a group to Hamas, an American Muslim group, and accusing them of financial irregularities.

So could you first tell us about the group and how you were able to uncover this multi-million dollar alleged fraud.

Let's begin by talking a little bit about who we are, about Ian,

and this is definitely like the biggest thing we've done so far.

So to begin with,

CARE received grants through the Afghan Legal Services Project in CARE, California, specifically.

Let's talk a little bit about them. Care is a Muslim civil rights advocacy group.

It's the most venerable of its kind in the country's history. And it has some unfortunate historic associations with Hamas. So to begin with, care was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation

trial, which was the largest trial of its kind in American history related to the funding of

terrorism. Um, so that's care national. Care California is very much its own animal and it operates as an

independent 501C3 with the same mission that CARE does. So regarding the monies and how we came to find out

about them. To begin with, we had heard through the grapevine

that care California had received $2.6 million through the Department of Social Services

for the purpose of teaching about hate speech throughout California.
