Congresswoman, a good evening to you, we have some education needed. The Congress, House of Representatives, has passed the Anti-Semitism

Awareness Act overwhelmingly. You, however, have a pending bill countering anti-Semitism Act. Can you help us understand these two bills

simultaneously? Good evening to you. Good evening I'm delighted to be with you.

The anti-Semitism Awareness Act, which was passed by an overwhelming majority of the House yesterday, suggests that the IRA definition should be considered whenever there is

evaluation of whether an act and action statements constitute anti-Semitism.

And the IRA definition, the International Holocaust,

remembers Alliance definition is a definition of anti-semitism that has been adopted, I believe, by more than 31 countries.

It is currently used by the Department of Education and the State Department, and it includes some

modern day examples of manifestations of anti-Semitism.

The bill that I have put together, the Countering Anti-Semitism Act, is a much broader bill.

It is quite comprehensive in what it would achieve, and it is based on the President Biden's US

national strategy to counter anti-Semitism which was the first ever

national strategy issued by a president to counter anti-Semitism in the United States.
