0:16.5	Hello everybody and welcome to history is a weapon 13. I of course am Sean K B. I'm here of course with Matt Chrisman. What's up man? Feeling good. How are you? I'm all right. I'm all right.
0:21.6	I can't believe we made it to 13 of these it's been about three and a half years and

0:30.4	Yeah indeed things keep happening they refuse to. Things keep happening. They refuse to stop. They keep happening more and more.

0:38.0	Yeah, when we started this whole Shabang all those years back you and me kind of in an ad hoc way but I think

0:53.0	And the thesis was essentially that in 2017,

1:00.0	as people on the center of the empire.
1:02.0	We had been living in a particular epoch of not just world
1:07.8	history but capitalist history, an epoch that began with the crisis of the 1970s and really solidified into the 1980s and by the time many of us were growing up, you know, in the 80s, 90s, early 2000s, seemed solidify into what some people have called capitalist realism, or certainly
1:27.4	a sort of dull never ending present in terms of politics, in terms of the economy, in terms of ideology, and of course that was punctured very much in 2007, 2008.
1:42.0	So our project has been kind of trying to understand how we got to this particular point and really to try to hone in on the various different strains that brought us into that period with an eye towards, I think, an understanding on both of our parts that that was ending, right?
2:01.6	That there was something was ending and a new thing was beginning.
2:04.8	It may that maybe felt a little abstract three and a half years ago, but who boy
2:10.1	does it feel really concrete right now?
2:13.0	Oh yeah, they certainly since, I mean the election of Trump was one thing,
2:18.0	but certainly since BLM and then now with a massive economic turmoil that the world is facing with the seeming
2:28.5	splitting up of the capitalist world into competing blocks, you know, this sort of disc globalization or end of the sort of free market
2:37.9	imperial sort of uni culture, I guess you could say, or uni economy that's existed for so long and of course
2:46.0	too what we're going to talk about today is a war in Europe an actual shooting war in
