D-Day in Welsh Rugby, a phrase it must be said, that has been used plenty of times before, at least over the last couple of years,

in reference to big decisions, multiple crises.

And while we're still not at the most significant day with a final decision yet to be confirmed,

we're close, we're very close to a decision that will reshape and significantly change the game in Wales as we know it.

Now, the Welsh Rugby Union today have confirmed their optimal solution moving forward is decreasing the current model from four teams to two teams.

Myself, rugby reporter Matt Lloyd, we're in the principality stadium you've spent

it's pretty detailed, actually. I know there's some criticisms that it's not, but I mean,

we've finally got some meat on the bone in terms of the different options. And what the

Welsh Tribune have actually shown us are that there are four different models, sorry, that they are

putting forward, yeah, considering, putting forward, open for debate and discussion, and that

they're insisting that no decision has been made. I mean, that's questionable. Some people

will perhaps question whether that is the case and I'm sure

we'll get Dave read in on that but the four models being either to have keep with four

but fund them differently maybe a two and a two uh three professional clubs all funded equally

three teams being a two under one and in the final

model being just going down to two professional clubs equally funded so essentially getting rid of

two which is the preferred option.

They do emphasise this as a consultation.

Consultation is about listening.
