Summary

What happens when a high-stakes federal operation happens in the middle of a crowded street? Nick analyzes the chaotic shooting of Alex Peretti. With conflicting reports of a disarmed suspect and multiple shots fired while he was held down. This isn't about politics, it's about tactics, truth, and the reality of law enforcement in a war zone environment.

Well, there's been another shooting that has rocked Minneapolis. And yes, again, it was ice agents

0:05.5

who shot somebody. This time it was U.S. citizen Alex Peretti, who was an ICU nurse, and he was

0:11.0

killed during an ICE operation after an altercation with ICE agents. Now, the media, left-wing

0:17.4

politicians, they of course did what they always do when there's an ice shooting.

0:24.6

And they immediately come out and blame the ICE agents and blame Donald Trump and blame anyone to the right of, you know, Hillary Clinton.

0:27.6

But by the same token, there are a lot of videos out here that have people asking questions

0:32.4

on whether or not this was a good shoot.

0:35.1

Now, I wasn't in that situation.

0:37.4

So saying whether or not was a good shoot or not

0:39.5

really has to take into a consideration more than what you just see on the video. But we can come to

0:44.9

some conclusions on whether or not we think that this was the right course of action. Now, look,

0:50.0

I don't claim to be a former police officer, but I was a former soldier, more specifically, before I was ever in politics, before I was ever on podcasts.

0:57.0

I was a green beret. So I went through extensive training with respect to weapons, not to mention managing situations that are somewhat similar to the one that took place in this particular situation.

1:06.0

I've also known what it's like to deploy overseas and discharge my weapon amidst combat operations.

1:12.9

So while I don't claim to know what was going through the minds of the officers that were

1:17.1

involved in this particular shooting, I do know what it is to be in a dangerous situation,

1:20.9

having undergone extensive training and still deal with some of the uncertainties about

1:25.4

what to do in situations that are not as clear cut as people might like to think when they're Monday morning quarterbacking on podcasts or on their expost. So that's what we're going to do today. This is making the argument. I am your host, Nick Fratis. Okay. So let's go ahead and lay the groundworker. The latest shooting on January 24th, 2026 was 37-year-old Alex Preddy,
