about addiction. So my guest today, his mother struggled with alcoholism, and it was quite pervasive throughout his entire life.

And this is a theme that I've seen in many, many, many people that I've worked with over the years, countless people who have had a parent or a sibling or family member or a partner who has been an addict or they themselves have been

an addict in some way.

And addiction is something that touches a lot of our families and can be quite challenging

to move through and navigate and can be something that becomes pervasive in our own lives,

in our own relationships. It can see

into our interactions with our partners, how we view ourselves, how we are able to set or not set

boundaries, the conversations that we have, how we address conflict. So as you listen to today's
