Hey everyone, just a quick announcement.

0:07.0

The trip to Greece this past summer was, I think it's fair to say, a huge success.

0:11.0

We had 23 people joined the tour and it was a total blast.

0:15.0

Everyone loved it, everybody got along fabulously with each other.

0:18.0

We all became friends, I'd say.

0:20.0

And, you know, we experienced a combination

0:21.9

of cultural, musical, archaeological, and culinary adventures together. So people have been asking me,

0:28.8

what am I going to do the next one? And the thing is that due to changing circumstances in my

0:33.2

professional and family life, my next year is going to be very hectic. And the only window I

0:39.1

have before possibly next fall is this January. So I thought I might do a tour in January.

0:46.0

I already spoke with the awesome archaeologist guide we had last time and he agreed to do it.

0:51.5

And we came up with a new itinerary and theme that's very different from

0:55.0

the last one and I'm really excited about. This time we're going to focus on northern Greece

0:59.2

and the theme is going to be mountains and oracles. So we're going to visit, of course, the most

1:06.8

famous ancient oracles like Delphi and Dodona as well as the supposed site where Odysseus met the ghosts of the underworld.

1:14.6

We'll see some of the most storied mountains of Greece, like Parnassus, Pindus, Meteora, and the Pass of Thermopylae.

1:23.4

And like last time, the sites will span the full gamut of history from the Bronze Age through the classical period down to the medieval Byzantine and Ottoman times.

1:33.3

The dates for the tour are going to be January 3rd to 11. It's going to be first come first serve, and we can take up to 25 people and we need 15 to make it viable.

1:43.3

So if you came on the first tour,

1:45.7

you're of course welcome to come again. And if it's your first time, you're welcome to

1:49.8

hop on board this adventure. Now, as I mentioned at the end of the last episode, you can find

1:55.5

pictures from the last tour on Twitter and Instagram by searching the hashtag AGD Tour 2022.
