Hey everyone, John here.

It's going to be no podcast this week.

For those who may not have heard, David's father, Phil Reese, passed away peacefully

on Monday of last week.

So David, along with his brother, Peter, and his mom, Pegg, is dealing with that as

best one can under the circumstances.

You know, Mr. Reese, which is how I've known him my whole life, was such a gentle soul.

And he had this soft-spoken manner.

But he also had this command presence that made you want to pay attention to what he was

talking about. I don't know if I can really explain it. And maybe it comes from knowing him when I was

15 years old. And, you know, we were having a sleepover,

and he was generally the one who would come out

and say, guys, you need to go to bed.

But in later years, I've enjoyed talking to him

about all sorts of other things.

Just a few, I think it was just a few months ago that we were discussing fish weirs

and as he was trying to organize a nature hike that he was the leader of.

You know, David's parents, Phil and Pegg were a big part of our lives growing up.

And... And... part of our lives growing up and always felt so much love from both of them being in David's house.

A lot of love, A lot of patience.

A ton of patience, actually, as well.
