Summary

How does a school lunch with friends outside end with paramedics dodging gunfire in an attempt to pull your paralyzed body out of a war zone? Sean Graves shares his encounter with the Columbine killers on “Judgment Day.” The idea that anyone would try to kill him, let alone two fellow students was such a foreign idea that Sean actually went towards the gunfire, thinking it had to be a senior prank or a game. Sean candidly shares his arduous journey from paralyzed gunshot victim to school safety professional when he and Amy Over meet face-to-face for the first time.

0:25.3	I'm going to be meeting Sean Graves for the first time and I'm really excited to meet him.
0:32.5	It's just so exciting that I get to meet with another survivor.
0:39.2	I was a senior when he was a freshman.
0:41.6	I obviously knew of him and knew that he was physically injured at Columbine.
0:48.1	Yesterday I watched him walk at his graduation in 2002, not using his wheelchair.
0:55.3	It was such a powerful moment.

0:58.6	He had a goal to walk across that stage and he did it.
1:02.9	But I'm interested to know what it was like for him to go back to school
1:07.6	and what that was like after going through everything that Sean has gone through.
1:13.3	He went into school safety and I think that's just remarkable after going through something
1:19.8	so traumatic.
1:21.8	After these interviews I get really emotionally exhausted and emotionally drained.
