Sometimes what is needed isn't really a change in our external circumstances but more in our internal circumstances the way that we see the world.

What that makes me think of is a quote by Marion Williamson who is a spiritual teacher who does a lot with a study called A Course in Miracles, which is a

psychological and spiritual inquiry into the mind. And what she says there that often

the miracle doesn't come from things shifting

externally it comes from our shifting our perspective in a way where which is

compatible with more peace and love.

And so I think often, indeed what you're saying is true.

And it's not about lowering expectations, though.

It's really starting to, I guess what you can say is vibrate at a higher frequency,

vibrate at a frequency compatible with more gratitude, peace, and love,

and thereby feeling happy with the situation that you have.

And the thing that's so interesting about this is so many people find their greatest

during life after a cancer diagnosis, you know, because something about that, being on the brink of, you know because something about that being on the brink of you know

confronting death and recognizing that life is finite really puts people

into a state where they recognize wow I can't take things for granted

anymore every day is special.

And suddenly people become much more grateful,

much more loving, their heart opens.

And the little things in life that we take for granted day by day,
