Leading creative work is unlike any other kind of leadership and you could say well yeah but you know sales is creative

but it's also much easier to quantify right you can it's very easy to tell whether you're doing well

or you're not doing well you have to do is

look at the numbers. Do we make sales or do we not? And yes it's a creative act but

it's different from leading creative work and I'm talking about something like

design or videography or production you know or films or something like that it's just a

fundamentally different kind of work leading creative work because essentially we're trying to organize something that doesn't want to be organized.

And so it's really, really difficult.

You know, you can develop the best systems in the world,

but the right idea doesn't come at the right time.

It's not, it doesn't matter.

The work's gonna be subpar.

And we can't control the creative process.

But we can create an environment in which creative people are likely to thrive and we can create an environment in which talented people
