I had the same dream twice in a row.

That was lost in a patch of forest by the old rip tree house.

It was run down and almost painful to see that it had been abandoned finally.

There was no point in the dream.

I merely walked around searching for a way out.

But in real life, I knew where the rip tree house was.

My friends and I had walked around the yard a few times, scaring and daring one another

to knock on the front door.

In my dream, the house was in the same place.

Back there, the tree surrounding it seemed to never end.

But it was during the nightmares that followed when I met Anna.

I remember that I walked with my two friends up to the front door of the rip tree house.

It had a large hole on it, poorly patched by spider webs and a porch that threatened

to break with every step that we took.

I don't remember which of my friends said it, but one of them leaned his head over to

the door and looked right into the darkness through the gap between the broken wood and

the dusty spider webs.

His eyes inched closer but never quite getting to the door.

The golden light behind us as the sun was setting made our shadows extra dark against the
