Hello and welcome to this edition of Atheist News Network. This one's close to home. I know we've

ranged abroad and around, but this one's right here at home. Salt Lake Tribune entitled

Trespassing Case, Gay Couple Detained after Kiss

near LDS Temple. I think this this article is really fitting especially

considering we've decided to do another month of Mormon theology and this article is just

a small piece of the Mormon culture.

Oh yeah, the background of this little history is that the city of

Salt Lake actually sold this property this easement to the LDS Church. A little background of that is every

general conference you'd have Southern Baptist and other people coming in and

they would loudly protest the

the LDS tumblegrounds and they would interfere with people trying to get there

and I'm all for allowing these people to go and and have their little Christ fix and not be bothered doing so.

But I'm not foreselling that easement, that ground that people walk back and forth on because with that sale from the city you give

up certain rights.

Oh very much so in fact I remember this entire situation it was years ago I was it was one of those times I was

traveling in from wherever I was and I remember the arguments going back and forth

and at the time I just didn't give a give a give a shit I just didn't care

but now that I read this and find out what they're actually doing with this

Plaza walkway that is now church property I I am all sorts of pissed off. They should not

be able to do something like this. Yeah at this time I was I was an atheist. This was

late 90s early 2000s and it pissed me off. I thought that it was really shady because

the city is essentially run by Mormons.
