Today's episode is the first of three parts on animation. In this part, Roger and I will talk about our experience in animation.

In part two, we'll have the head of layout and lighting from our current animation project and part three will introduce the director of the three how to train your dragon movies Dean Dublois.

So let's start first with our path in animation, how we got started.

Pixar contacted us because they had a film that they were doing called Wally.

Yes, before that though,

before that Pixar contacted us to do a demo.

What you didn't know and what they told us afterwards is that they contacted us just to see what we were like before they decided whether they were going to do this on Wally or not.

So it was kind of like a little audition that we didn't know about.

We didn't know that.

I thought it was probably a master class.

Master class.

Remember they had a little set on a lot of lights and it was it was to

demonstrate lighting different situations on the set and it was very strange

because there was a lot of animators there and I remember I did a demonstration

of what I thought they might think film lighting was, right?

Yes, I do remember this.
