And this week, Marianne, will be speaking with Peter Singer, who has just released a completely reworked edition of the book that started so many people thinking about animals seriously.

Animal liberation.

The new book is called appropriately Animal Liberation Now.

And I know that you really loved interviewing Peter, who, by the way, I am not related to.

Yeah, no, this was a lot of fun.

And the interview went really long, and we had a really great conversation.

I don't agree with him about everything, but I agree with him about really a lot of things.

And he's so smart and he's so thoughtful.

So, yeah, though we did a little stroll-down layman, or he didn't, but I did.

Of this time, I remembered seeing him talk at a very small under unattended event in New York City,

like a gazillion years ago. He wrote this book 50 years ago. Does that give you the Willys?

He wrote it 50 years ago? 50 years ago, yeah. I'm, I guess that's true. I was like,

wait, this is so funny because I was like, no, because I'm only 43 and he only wrote it a little

bit before I was bored. Oh my God. That's very funny. Well, and by the, i know he's on a tour right now which he's
