joining me today is Jimmy Aitken. Hey, Jimmy. Howdy, Dom? In recent years, scientists have been

studying unusual experiences that happen to people as they are approaching death. Collectively,

these are known as end-of-life experiences, or E-L-E's. But it's only now that people

are beginning to study whether animals have end-of-life experiences. So do they? What kind of

experiences do they have? And how do they compare to what humans can experience? That's what we're

talking about on this episode of Jimmy Yakin's

Mysterious World. And Jimmy, what do we need to know to begin today's mystery?

Well, as you said in the introduction, scientists have been studying inhuman end-of-life

experiences or ELEs for some years. Here on Mysterious World, we've been doing episodes that

deal with some of them, like Terminal Lucidity, which we discussed in episode 312, and Deathbed Visions, which we discussed in episode 318, and we'll discuss more of them in upcoming episodes.
