Nate is a former Green Beret who served in multiple tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and then

decided to leave military service and go to the University of Texas, where he walked on to the football team, having never played organized football before, where he would become a first-team academic All-Big 12 conference member playing Long Snapper.

He went undrafted into the NFL, but signed with the Seattle Seahawks where he played during the 2015 preseason.

He is the co-founder of the organization merging vets and players, also known as MVP,

which helps veterans and athletes transition beyond their uniform.

He's also a filmmaker and entrepreneur and the co-founder of the premium meat company,

8 primal.
