Welcome to the Bronx Pinstripe Show.

We've got a special guest host, Andy Martino of SNY, covers the Yankees and Mets with Scott in Vegas for the Super Bowl. Hopefully he's not in a ditch upside down somewhere. Andy, welcome to the show. Hello, Andrew. Nice to be back. Yes, you've been on a couple times. We've talked at length about Brian Cashman and his relationship with Steinbrenner.

And I don't know if maybe the end is coming soon for Cashman, if things don't turn around for

the Yankees. And I'm definitely interested in getting your thoughts on that. But first,

you know, off the top, how do you think this offseason has gone for the Yankees?

I think, and they think, Andrew, that it's gone pretty well, although I do sense

some level of disappointment or lack of total satisfaction with what they've been able to

accomplish on the pitching front.

We know how good they are finding Diamond and their rough relievers and turning them into

better relievers

and they trust their program as far as that goes. And in terms of the rotation, look,

there's so much upside still there with Carlos Rodone, who still has amazing stuff. And maybe

that solves the issue if he can get back to himself but of course they would have liked

to have added a corbin burns a dylan ciss and blake snell i mean if they could have

controlled that i mean they didn't want it enough to pay whatever it took for any of these

players rather in dollars or prospects but if they're their self-assessment, which is obviously more

important than my assessment, is that they'd like just a little bit more high-end pitching,

but they feel pretty, pretty okay about where they're at. And that's where I have a problem with
