Carl, whose previous Tony nominations came for 2014's Rocky in the category of Best Actor in a

Musical and 2015's On the 20th Century in the category of Best Featured Actor in a musical has had a

remarkable journey to this point. But it's a journey that has never been more

remarkable than it is at this very moment when the dashing 43 year old who I've previously described as

Broadway's version of Carrie Grant only buffer and with a great singing voice is

giving eight remarkable performances a week in Groundhog Day despite tearing tearing his ACL on the stage on April 14th, just 72 hours before opening night.
